In Lorretta Holm, et al., v. Deer Lake Dam Association, Inc., et al., the plaintiffs sued multiple defendants on a theory of malicious prosecution. Plaintiffs claimed that they sustained damages due to their having been arrested by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office based on complaints made by the defendants.

Congratulations to Joel Murphy and his client in getting the key evidence suppressed in a Possession of Cannabis charge. Mr. Murphy successfully argued that during a traffic stop the officer illegally prolonged the duration of the stop. The result is that the search of a car was illegal, the evidence suppressed.
